Microsoft Outlook is such a helpful tool for a forgetful guy like me. When I type a birthday into someone's Contact entry, Outlook automatically sets up a recurring appointment on the Calendar, so I get little reminders long after I have lost touch with the person. September 5th used to be a significant day in my calendar, birthday-wise. It is the birthday of both (1) a former best friend who is now married and therefore cannot possibly talk to me or email me anymore, and (2) a close friend who likes to pass judgment on my soul and my shoes while labelling me as "a hollow chocolate bunny." Happy birthday to both of y'all. Dad will throw an extra flamingo on the grill for ya. (He had a happy 60th birthday last month.) And celebratory cheers to Danielle who just crossed the three-year milestone in her relationship with Chris. |
